I’m Rune Brathen, CTO here at Armory5. Originally from Norway, I bring that well-known Nordic work ethic—a strong focus on quality, reliability, and doing things right the first time—to everything we build. I hold two Cisco CCIE certifications and the CISSP, which means I’m a bit of a security and networking nerd (in the best way).

At Armory5, I lead our technical strategy and help make sure the solutions we deliver are not just secure and scalable, but practical and future-ready. I believe in staying hands-on, solving real-world problems, and keeping things simple where they can be.

These days, I live in Martville, New York, with my amazing wife and our three kids. Outside of tech, you’ll probably find me spending time with family, working on a project in the garage, or enjoying the peace and quiet of upstate New York.
